Mini Progress Update: Internal Review!

This is a very quick check-in for some exciting progress.
The text for Carved in Stone is finished as of yesterday. Weighing in at just under 90k words, it's a pretty heavy book. Heather and I have started a detailed comb through of the final text, which should go on for the rest of this month. After this, we'll have a full draft ready to share. We're hoping this will be sometime in early November.
We've also checked in with our two consultants and they're both ready to peer review our work. We hope to have their notes back in early January 2025, alongside any feedback from yourselves. We'll then implement what we can over January -- we know our capacity is very limited, and as a team we're constantly hovering over burnout, so we'll have to be measured with what we attempt.
Editing is slated for February 2025, and then I'll be briefing artists in March 2025. There's preparatory work that can go into making those tasks smoother, which I'll be getting ahead of over Winter.
In other news, Hinokodo is working away on carved and scribed ogham fonts for use in the book:
Fingers crossed, next update there'll be a big lump of Pictish lore for youse to gnaw on!
